A liquid that is a basic chemical. Commercial grade MIPA has the lowest molecular weight of the three standard isopropanolamines. Uses: In personal care as an emulsifying agent and wetting agent, an intermediary in pharmaceuticals, as a tall amide for water-based metalworking fluids, and in waterborne coatings. CAS# (78-96-6)
